Position description

The Senior MDM Consultant will be part of the Enterprise Architecture team and will work closely with Data Governance teams, business stakeholders, application architects and the Data Services team in deploying and maintaining robust Master Data Management solutions. This is a hands-on technical role, responsible for design, development and deployment of end-to-end implementation, including core MDM, Data Quality, Data Governance and Metadata Management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Gathering functional and technical requirements as inputs into the overall solution design.
2. Estimating and planning work for all phases of the software development lifecycle.
3. Participating in process and functional design activities, carrying out application design, build, test, and deploy activities for Informatica MDM and all integrating applications.
4. Planning, developing, executing data conversion routines.
5. Driving user acceptance test planning and execution.

Requirements

• BE/BTech/MCA degree or equivalent technical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in the software industry.
• 3+ years of experience with MDM projects.
• 5+ years experience as an implementation consultant in Database related technologies.
• Must have proven and demonstrable client facing
• Excellent analysis, debugging and trouble-shooting skills, and persistence in problem solving.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle 10g or higher
• Hands-on experience with installation/configuration and tuning of Oracle database.
• Strong SQL / PLSQL and JDBC experience
• Exposure to applications servers (JBoss, Weblogic, Websphere)
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Track record of accomplishment and effectiveness within organizations.

Preferred skills for this role include

Technical

• Must have good understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) architectures and business processes.
• Working knowledge of Entity 360, Provisioning Tool and Informatica Data Director (IDD)
• Understanding of Informatica MDM API (SIF & Business Entity Services)
• Deep understanding and experience working on ActiveVOS BPM
• Participate in design of Informatica MDM solutions (Multi-Domian MDM), Informatica Data Quality and Data Integration based on customer needs.
• Develop / Configure MDM Landing, Staging and Base Objects.
• Deep understanding and experience working on Match & Merge Configuration, Match & Merge Performance Tuning.
• Working knowledge of MDM security implementation on creating user, roles and assigning proper user groups to the roles.
• Develop, test and deploy MDM, DQ and Data integration solutions in accordance with customer’s schedule.
• Execute test plan and document results; debug solution as required.
• Should have experience in MDM Installations and Upgrade Process
• Experience and/or familiarity with data analysis activities
• Experience with Windows or UNIX shell script programming
• Experience with optimization of high-volume databases (>300GB).
• General understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL tools
• Experience with messaging software.
