Globalsoft Frameworx takes a break to check out breathtaking sights of Chikmagalur

Earlier this year, our crew at Globalsoft’s India Development center, Globalsoft Frameworx took some time off to check out the beautiful city of Chikmagalur, Karnataka. Located about six hours north of our Central Bangalore office and in the foothills of the Mullayanagiri range, it was a perfect getaway for the long weekend.

For accommodation, the team opted for a quaint Home stay about 22kms drive away from the heart of Chikmagalur called “Beanstalk Bagmane”. Beanstalk Bagmane is known for some of the best views one could get within the140,000 km² stretch of Western Ghats. Besides incredible scenic views, it offered us fun-filled group activities including Wild Life expedition, Guided Coffee Estate Tour, Outdoor Local Sports, and Hillside Barbeque, and not to forget some delicious platters of Malnad cuisine.

Check out some of the Highlights from the Trip

The Coffee Plantation

The homestay is located at the top of a hill surrounded by a Coffee Estate. Our team took some time out to check out this well preserved home on the campus.

The Sunset Point

Travel to Sunset Point was one of the most memorable. We took a Jeep ride through the forest within Bhadra Tiger Reserve.

The Ukkada Waterfalls

Our trip to Ukkada Falls was tedious but worth the mesmerizing view. Anciently, when the present asphalt roads and the 300 concrete steps were not present, a trail was used to reach the peak, known as ‘Sarpadari’ or ‘sarpanadi’. Although it is not very frequently visited now, this trail is cherished by trekkers – which is what our crew decided to go for. It was wonderful to see the team come together pulling each other up on the steep trek uphill.

Some ingenious team building games

Two teams of equal number of players with cups tied to their heads compete to pass a ball from one cup to another.

A run down memory lane playing Lagori

And of course,  a friendly game of Volleyball.
