Retirement of StrikeIron prompts for Upgrade to Globalsoft’s Adapter & Monitor

San Jose, CA – Globalsoft, the leading MDM solution provider for Informatica MDM, today announced that Ryder System, Inc has selected Globalsoft’s D&B Enrichment Solution as a replacement for the retiring Data-As-A-Service solution from Informatica delivered via their StrikeIron API. Ryder has purchased Globalsoft’s “batch” Adapter for matching and enriching with D&B’s Direct+ data service for business information used for marketing and sales intelligence, and the D&B Direct Monitor to keep that data up to date using the D&B Direct+ monitoring service.

Once Informatica decided to discontinue their StrikeIron API, organizations like Ryder were faced with a crisis of how best to replace this data enrichment solution for their Informatica MDM Hub. After evaluating the functionality, Ryder chose the Globalsoft solution due to its ease of use, tight integration with both Informatica and D&B’s API, and implementation path.  As an added benefit, this change in technology provided Ryder with the opportunity to redesign their enrichment solution to swap out a component for one where they had more skills.  They have ended up with a functionally richer solution that is easier to maintain and fully supported by Globalsoft.
